• How do I know Meta Trak is suitable for my vehicle?

  Meta Trak can be installed on all vehicle types, including hybrid and electric vehicles. Speak with your chosen installer if you have any questions about your specific vehicle.

• Which insurance category do I need?

  If a tracking solution is required by your insurance company, they will mandate whether you need a Category S5 (the highest level of protection) or a Category S7 tracking solution. If you are unsure, check with your insurance company.

• How do I get an installation certificate for my insurance company?

  If you have an insurance approved Meta Trak system installed you will receive a certificate of installation as part of your Welcome Email.

• Will my tracking system work abroad?

  Yes. Meta Trak uses a globally roaming SIM to ensure coverage whilst you're abroad.

• What is the process for getting Meta Trak installed?

  We schedule a date to install a Meta Trak solution. This can take place at your own home or place of work. We will commission the product for you so that it’s up and running straight away. You will receive a welcome email telling you how to download the Meta Trak app and start tracking your vehicle. Don’t forgot to inform your insurance company if you opted for one of our insurance approved solutions.

• Where should I keep the driver ID tags?

  You can keep the ID tags on your keyring. You should always have the ID tag with you when you start the vehicle. If you don’t have the ID tag, this will be recognised as unauthorised movement and an alert will be sent to you and to the Meta Trak Secure Operating Centre.

• What happens if I get a new car?

  If you purchase a new vehicle, please contact us & we will quote you to de-install the unit from your old vehicle and re-install the unit in your new vehicle. You will then be able to carry and remaining time of your subscription period over to the new vehicle.

• What happens if I sell the vehicle with the system in it?

  If you decide to leave the Meta Trak unit in your vehicle when you sell it, the new owner can contact us to take out a new subscription.

• How secure is my driving data?

  All driving data is your data and Meta Trak do not pass it on to any other parties unless legally required to do so. Meta Trak meets the highest level of data security.
